Our Story...

History

Route 66 Cafe at the Market stands on a historic stretch of Route 66 in Clinton, Oklahoma, in the same building that once housed Dorsey’s Fruit Market and Grocery in the 1930s. After decades of serving the community, the building eventually sat vacant for nearly twenty years before being restored and returned to its roots as a neighborhood gathering place centered around food.

In 2023, the cafe was purchased by husband-and-wife team Daniel and Sirena Neenan. With a shared passion for hospitality and comfort food, they set out to honor the building’s history while creating a welcoming space for both locals and travelers passing through Route 66.

Today, Route 66 Cafe at the Market continues the tradition of serving hearty, homemade-style meals in a setting that feels familiar and inviting. Daniel and Sirena are proud to be part of the Clinton community and grateful to contribute to the ongoing story of a building that has brought people together for generations—proof that some things, like good food and good company, never go out of style.
